Steven Grasse, is an American businessman and the author of the highly controversial book "The Evil Empire: 101 ways England ruined the world." He blames England for creating poverty, slavery, global warming, World War I and II, the Vietnam war, Stalin's gulags, the Holocaust, and a devastating war machine. Grasse's book has been highly debated on BBC radio and on the Internet. Grasse claims that the UK owes the world £31 Trillion which works out to approximatley $8350 per person in reperations. Some of Grasse's views are shared by the British as well as Americans. Others have criticised his loose interpretation of the facts and accused him of publicity-seeking.
